VP Leni Robredo Endorses Pinky Lacson For President!

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City Bureau) – After suspenseful weeks of silence and teasers about her plans for the 2022 Presidential elections, Vice President Leni Robredo finally announced that she has decided not to run for the top post of the land.

Instead, Robredo formally endorsed Panfilo Lacson for President. Her attire, and that of her daughters who are all girls as well as her spokesperson Barry Gutierrez said it all . They donned the color pink — ribbons, face masks, shirts — an abrupt departure from the Opposition’s trademark yellow color.

”Matapos ang masusing pagniniling-niling, napagpasyahan kong i-endorso si Senador Panfilo ”Pinky” Lacson bilang kandidato nating lahit sa darating na eleksyon,” she said. (After much contemplation, I have decided to endorse Senator Panfilo ”Pinky” Lacson as our candidate for the upcoming elections.)

Almost instantly, the hastag #PinkIsTheNewYellow became trending on social media.

Comelec Commissioner Guanzon

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Now that 5 2022 Presidential candidates have filed or announced their candidacies, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has issued debate rules come the campaign period for next May’s elections.

The Adobo Chronicles obtained a leaked copy of the debate rules and schedule:

  • Manny Pacquiao debates Leni Robredo.
  • Winner between Pacquiao and Robredo debates Panfilo Lacson.
  • Winner in the Lacson debate will face Isko Moreno.
  • Finally, the winner in the Moreno debate will face Bongbong Marcos.

The schedule was arrived at during an en banc meeting of Comelec commissioners, based on the winning chances of the five candidates.

Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon will moderate all debates and has the prerogative of calling out any of the debate participants for being ”shunga” (stupid) with their arguments or responses to questions.

Raissa Robles Book Sequel On Marcos To Come Out October 9!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Self-proclaimed investigative journalist Raissa Robles didn’t get her wish come true.

Her book, ”Marcos Martial Law Never Again” has become her battlecry and that of the tiny minions of mostly Dilawans (Yellows) who vowed that there will never be a return of the Marcoses in politics.

Alas, that wish was instantly squashed when Marcos’ son, Bongbong officially declared on October 5, that he intends to run for President in the Philippines’ May, 2022 elections

Robles immediately went into high gear mode scribbling pages and pages of her new book sequel titled, ”Never Say Never Again.”

The new ”novel” is scheduled to be released on October 9, a day after the filing deadline for certificates of candidacy for next year’s polls.
