Maria Ressa Is Guest Principal Dancer With Columbia Ballet!

NEW YORK, New York (The Adobo Chronicles, New York Bureau) – Unknown to many, Rappler CEO and Nobel Laureate Maria Ressa has academic certificates in theater and dance. It is therefore no surprise that she has been designated guest principal dancer by Columbia University Ballet. Ressa will play the lead role in “Swan Lake.”

Columbia seems to have this fetish for Ressa. Just recently, the university announced that the convicted cyber libeler will join its faculty in July next year, while being a Distinguished Fellow this coming fall.

Congratulations are in order for Ressa!

PAGCOR Explains Symbolism Of Its Controversial New Logo

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco today defended his agency’s new logo, explaining the symbolism of the highly-controversial graphic.

In a statement, Tengco said the new logo represents energy, inspiration, passion and transformation, and symbolizes change and progress. He describes it as a beacon and guiding light that helps people find their way.

Well said, Chairman Tengco. Rest assured that Filipinos will find their way to casinos, Bingo halls and other venues that offer poker, electronic games, e-sabong and offshore gaming.

Office Of The President Seeking Netizen Input For Its New Logo!

MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – ‘Tis really is the season for new memes and logos among Philippine government departments and agencies. And the Office of the President is not going to be left behind!

But Malacañang does not want to commit the same embarrassing booboo committed by the Department of Tourism and PAGCOR.

So instead of seeking Requests for Proposals (RFP) from artists, designers and ad agencies, Malacañang chose to seek input and suggestions from Filipino netizens who have proven their mettle in coming up with excellent and exciting logos.

No single Philippine peso will be spent on this project but whichever design (and designer) is chosen by the Office of the President will be rewarded with prestige and future highly-paid contracts.

The Adobo Chronicles has been designated to collate and initially screen proposed designs and submit a list of finalists to Malacañang.

So what are you waiting for? Send us your designs now!

You can do so in the comments section.
