Will The Real Jesus Christ Please Step Forward?

The quest for the title of “Jesus Christ” seems to have become a global phenomenon, with contenders popping up like mushrooms after rain.

From Pastor Apollo Quiboloy in the Philippines to the Kenyan man boldly proclaiming himself as the  Christ Jesus, the competition for divine status is fierce. One can’t help but wonder what divine intervention led them to these audacious claims.

Despite their assertions, both men seem to be following in the footsteps of the true Christ in more ways than one. The Kenyan man faces the threat of crucifixion, a fate eerily reminiscent of Jesus himself, while Quiboloy finds himself embroiled in legal troubles and facing arrest, mirroring the persecution experienced by the Son of God. It’s as if they’re determined to live out the entire biblical narrative, complete with trials, tribulations, and controversies.

Perhaps in this modern age, the title of “Jesus Christ” is more of a burden than a blessing.
