Rodrigo Duterte’s ongoing saga of self-destruction is reaching new heights of absurdity. With each passing day, he manages to entangle himself further in a web of contradictory statements, particularly regarding President Bongbong Marcos. 

One moment, he’s praising Marcos; the next, he’s disavowing any support. It’s like watching a political game of musical chairs, except the music never stops, and Duterte keeps falling flat on his face. 

What’s even more ludicrous is the unwavering support he receives from his fanatics, including what many suspect are paid vloggers, who seem to have traded critical thinking for blind loyalty. They defend his every flip-flop with fervor, turning a blind eye to the circus unfolding before them. 

At this rate, it wouldn’t be surprising if Duterte’s most coherent moments are indeed when he’s sound asleep under a kulambo, blissfully unaware of the chaos he’s causing while dreaming of a bygone era.
