These billboards boldly proclaim her unwavering support for the country’s territorial claims in the South China Sea, making sure that even extraterrestrial beings are aware of her stance.

This move, clearly a strategic ploy, seems to be Senator Hontiveros’ attempt to position herself as a major player in the 2028 presidential elections. Her newfound passion for territorial disputes comes hot on the heels of her vocal criticism of Vice President Sara Duterte, particularly on budgetary matters and the ever-elusive confidential intelligence fund. 

VP Duterte, presumed to be the administration’s chosen successor to President Bongbong Marcos, now faces stiff competition from the Senator who’s not afraid to take her South China Sea message to the skies.
