MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Self-proclaimed investigative writer and graduate of imaginative writing from U.P. Raissa Robles is know for her social media crowdsourcing for her “news” stories. She lets other netizens do the investigation for her.
Wait, there’s more.
Robles has of late been doing a “Marites,” or the art of gossip under the guise of news reporting.

Well, she did another one of those, by re-Xing (re-tweeting) a post by a netizen who claimed that President Bongbong Marcos was met with chants of “bente, bente, bente” when he attended the opening game of the FIBA World Cup at the Philippine Arena. (The chant was supposedly be reference to Marcos’ promise to bring the price of rice to P20 (bente) per kilo.)
In her re-X, Robles asked for a “resibo” (receipt or proof) of the incident.
But as an investigative writer, wasn’t she supposed to be the one looking for proof?
More imaginative than investigative!
