MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – For the entire month of August, Meta Philippines is banning all English posts and comments on Facebook, in observance of “Buwan Ng Wika” (National Language Month).

The social media platform however said that aside from Pilipino (Tagalog), other Philippine local dialects will be also be allowed.

English posts and comments will be archived by Meta and will only be released on the platform beginning September 1, when Jose Mari Chan sings his first Christmas carol of the 2023 Christmas season!
