SAN FRANCISCO, California (The Adobo Chroniclers, California Bureau) – Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco was deluged with calls and messages on Saturday following the sudden disappearance of the Twitter app from millions of smartphones and computers worldwide.

Many netizens in the Philippines told The Adobo Chronicles that it was only Friday night when the Twitter icon — the blue humming bird — was visible in their gadgets. Then that icon suddenly disappeared Saturday, replaced by a suspicious black “X.”

It wasn’t clear whether this was a glitch on the part of Twitter or a case of hacking by unscrupulous elements.

We have yet to hear from Twitter owner Elon Musk who has not returned our calls.
