Erratum: Maria Ressa To Teach At Colombia, Not Columbia University

BOGOTA, Colombia (The Adobo Chronicles, Bogota Bureau) – There was an apparent misunderstanding in news reports that Rappler CEO and Nobel Laureate has been offered a teaching position at New York’s Columbia University next year.

It all started with a typographical error by one of Rappler’s unpaid interns when she sent a news dispatch to other online news portals, spelling “Colombia” as “Columbia.”

Rappler has since corrected the dispatch saying boss has been accepted for a professorial job at Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogota. Ressa will teach an intermediate English language class.
