MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – It seems the “UniTeam” under which Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte won the 2022 Philippine elections is dissipating — thanks to the infighting between the sold Marcos loyalists and the Die-hard Dutertes.

As the 2025 mid-term elections draw near, the opposition, now informally led by ex-Vice President Leni Robredo, is changing strategy. During the campaign, Robredo tried to distance herself from the Aquino Yellows which led her to use pink as her color.

But in unity, there is strength. So the two Opposition factions — the Dilawan (Yellows) and the Pinklawan (Pinks) are coming together to strategize for a big win in 2025 and subsequently in the next presidential elections of 2028.

Expect the resurgence of the two colors going forward.
