PARIS, France (The Adobo Chronicles, Paris Bureau)- For centuries, it has been established that humans may have descended from the apes, seeing how both species act the same way.
But that theory may be out the door!
Paleoanthropologists are now swaying that humans may have actually descended from rats.
Rats and humans are both mammals who give birth to live babies; both are warm-blooded; both have similar organs, including livers and hearts; both have similar nervous systems; both use similar hormones to regulate body functions; and both are susceptible to many of the same diseases.
As a matter of fact, the City of Paris — the world’s fourth most rat-infested city — is being proactive by creating a committee to study the co-existence between rats and humans.
Makes sense. Rather than trying to exterminate rats, why not learn from this oft-feared species?
