Incoming U.P. Students To Sign Waiver On Expulsion For Cutting Classes.

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Quezon City) -Filipino taxpayers have had it for paying for the tuition fees of students of University of the Philippines and other state colleges who cut classes to join protest rallies within and outside their schools.

Beginning this coming school year, those admitted to all government-funded schools will have to sign a waiver agreeing to be automatically expelled and stripped of their scholarships if they use class time for protests or demonstrations.

The Commission on Higher Educations (CHED) told The Adobo Chroniclers that this new policy will ensure that taxpayer money is not wasted on students not serious about pursuing a college education.

The new policy comes just in time for the UPCAT (U.P. College Admission Tests) June 3 & 4.

So to all Iskolar ng Bayan, take note!
