MANILA, Philippines (The AdoboChronicles, Manila Bureau)-
If you think marchers, protesters and activists participate in mass actions do it from the goodness of their hearts, think again!
Case in point: As usual, Labor Day in the Philippines (May 1) will be marked by localized protests participated in by concerned citizens and patriots to advocate for the rights of laborers.
But alas, a call to action posted on social media revealed that marchers will actually be paid (Magmartsa para sa sweldo sa Mayo Uno).
We just hope that they will be paid by organizers the mandated minimum daily wage!
