MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has announced that Terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airpoirt (NAIA) will soon be converted into a “domestic only” airport.

As such, MIAA will change the name NAIA 2 to MDA — Manila Domestic Airport.

A spokesperson for MIAA told The Adobo Chronicles that it will no longer make sense to have a domestic airport to bear the name “international.”

Is this the first step towards renaming the rest of NAIA back to its original name of Manila International Airport?
