MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Cnronicles, Manila Bureau) – She has been consistently No. 1 in surveys on who Filipinos think should be elected (or reelected) Senator. But the latest False Asia Survey shows that reelectionist Grace Poe has been dropped off the Magic 12.

In her place for the top spot was FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano, the long-running teleserye on ABS-CBN.

It only goes to show that in Philippine elections, what matters most is not what an incumbent politician has or has not accomplished, but rather, what voters  think is the  teleserye that would best tickle their fancy. Or fantasy.

Is this the end of Grace Poe’s political career?
