MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Despite the offer of Malacañang to provide free umbrellas to all who will participate in the September 21 protest rally organized by the Movement Against Tyrrany (MAD), the organizers decided to cancel the event altogether.

PAGASA wasn’t on the side of the rallyists as it forecast a 100% chance of thunderstorm on Thursday, especially in the Luneta area.

The event cancellation was reflected in the giant billboard listing the Luneta (Rizal Park) events for September.
