MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – In response to an increasing number of motor accidents involving drivers with impaired vision, the Optometric Association of the Philippines (OAP) today unveiled a new, improved eye test chart.
The announcement was met with approval by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) which issues driver’s licenses in the Philippines.
The new chart includes a special test for double vision using a sample headline from the Inquirer (see photo).
Those with double vision will be required to wear corrective lenses when operating a motor vehicle.
