MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles) – Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has come out the leader in a new poll conducted by Pulse Asia, beating Senator Grace Poe, Vice President Jejomar Binay, former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas and Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago.

As Duterte supporters celebrated the new survey results, Pulse Asia issued a clarification that the poll was not about the people’s choice for president of the Philippines. Rather, it was a poll on who respondents think would be elected mayor of Davao City if elections were held this month.

Duterte is a declared candidate for Davao City mayor. He has yet to officially file his candidacy for president.
