HOLLYWOOD, California ( The Adobo Chronicles, Hollywood Bureau) – Ex-Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo has caught the attention of Hollywood!

Universal Pictures just announced that Robredo has signed contract to star in a remake of the 1986 American teen romantic comedy-drama film, Pretty in Pink , about love and social cliques in American high schools in the 1980s

Her role will be that of a Filipino who fakes her credentials to be able to legally work in America as a high school teacher.

Universal said its choice of Robredo was inspired by her own pink movement in the Philippines, especially during her failed 2022 presidential campaign.

The project is a collaboration by Universal and The Adobo Chronicles films.
