MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Rappler is reporting that beginning in October, GCash will start charging a fee to cash in with several banks.

But true to its reporting bias, Rappler is calling it a “convenience fee” when the fact of the matter is that it is an inconvenience for GCash and bank account holders.

Nevertheless, if you want cash from GCash, you have to pay cash for each transaction. That’s P5 of your hard-earned money!
