About Us

imagesTHE ADOBO CHRONICLES  is your source of up-to-date, unbelievable news. Everything you read on this site is based on fact, except for the lies.

We abide by the highest standards of  creative writing and intend to make this site as respectable as possible to the extent allowed by our fertile mind.  We welcome comments, but please bear in mind that this is a family-oriented site.  We reserve the right to edit or censor any comment that we deem inappropriate or funnier than our posts.

We also welcome reposts of our stories but request appropriate credit to The Adobo Chronicles. We cannot be responsible for reposts without credit as they may be taken in a context outside of the original intent of this website. (Yeah we know, that was quite a mouthful!)

Why the title, “The Adobo Chronicles,” you might ask? Well, adobo is the national dish of our home country. You see, adobo is usually made with pork or chicken, boiled and simmered in a mixture of vinegar, soy sauce and other spices.  When writing stories for this  blog, we let the news sizzle and simmer in our mind in a mixture of fact and fiction, then we spice it up with figments of our imagination.

  2. So creative! Also people who read news on internet and take it for granted should have learn to recheck 🙂 .
Your selfietis article somehow got into an Indonesia facebook profile that looks like.. but not… a clinic/doctor. Except they don’t give a linkback.

    1. Did you read the “About” page? Did you read the masthead of the web site? I think it is presumptuous to say that people can not think. Some can’t, but we are tired of other people saying that Filipinos are the most gullible people in the world. We need to prove them wrong. We all need to learn to read critically and to always check our sources — satire or not.

    2. true. may mga nababasa akong ginagamit na reference tong site na toh. but the people are learning to distinguishing facts from fiction with this site.
lagyan nlang cguro ng nota bene sa last part ng About Us ng categorical/simple statement na satirical website toh para pangontra sa mga magrereference at di talaga makagets kung ano ang satire

  3. Written articles here may sound too good to be true and convincing, though it may be far from truth. But through its publisher’s point of view if it catches attention it served its purposed. I think this is what it’s all about — “Entertainment”. To pull you out of life’s misery. Smile and be happy!

      1. sileraden — for the love of English, please use correct grammar when writing mean comments. You’ve got to pay more attention to subject verb agreement.

It’s not: “because dumb people loves to read it …”, it’s: “because dumb peoples loves to read it …”.

        1. It’s “silveraden” and not “sileraden”. Don’t lecture if you can’t make it right. “people” is already plural / collective noun and you are telling me to add s? wtf! Worst advice I heard so far…
