MANILA, Philippines (The Adobo Chronicles, Manila Bureau) – Vice President Leni Robredo today said that she considers herself an accidental politician, having entered politics as a result of the early demise of her husband who died in a plane crash.

This accidental politician has gone from being a member of the House of Representatives to becoming Vice President. She is now seeking the Presidency in next year’s Philippine elections.

Robredo’s statement didn’t come as a surprise to many, as people encounter freak accidents all the time. In the VP’s case, it’s probably a freak accident but a basket case as well.
